The Office is accredited to the UN as a non-governmental organization (NGO) through the UN Department of Public Information. Aside from collaborating directly with UN departments and agencies and with other religious communities on specific issues, the Office is a member of various thematic NGO committees. As such, it works to raise awareness and advance discourses in its areas of focus.
